Based on the sharing of experience of Training Centers of Excellence representatives, members of RECAMP programme and representative from the European Commission, this Africa Briefing has sketched out the main trends in African peacekeeping forces’ training dynamics, while identifying operational and policy options to bring solutions to current and forthcoming challenges. The following issues have been thoroughly discussed: follow-up on trainees, future sources of funding, ownership, training needs analysis, gender issues, and civilo-military aspects.
